Good idea in theory – we could append the individuals to the club email address.
However, once you start emailing 350 individuals, you do risk getting blacklisted as a spammer!
It also raises some challenges for the ‘Edit Clubs’ option, where you can globally set the emails for a club. This would be very hard to manage.
Overall, I’ve preferred to leave that fine-grained email distribution to the clubs themselves.Anyone else got any views on this suggestion?
ChrisKeymasterAlready onto this one Neil – spotted it myself when I ran my own event today!
Temporary fix is to edit the checklist template file in C:\Users\Public\Documents\TScoreX\Templates to change the heading on those columns if you don’t have HD equipment (who does!).
A proper fix will be put out in the next couple of weeks for this one.ChrisKeymasterIt’s always been possible, but only if you had manually copied the executable rather than installed it. Some of the newer builds of v10 allow side-by-side installation so you can easily roll back or compare.
ChrisKeymasterOne further thing that can cause problems on some computers is if you do not have edit permissions to the PostgreSQL data folder. This can happen if you install as a non-administrator in the default PostgreSQL location (Program Files).
In this case, when you look at the pg_hba.conf file, it will have no extra lines added by TScore, and if you try to change it, it will demand administrator permissions. To fix this, just change the permissions on the file, or login to the computer and run TScore as an administrator to perform the initial setup.

ChrisKeymasterThose all checked out ok for me. However, I did see a problem with showing the ‘big score’ and photos at the same time, plus some photo sizing/resolution issues with multiple screens of different resolutions.
I have improved that section of VScore for v10.0.10 and it seems to have sorted out those issues.ChrisKeymasterJust took a look at this – it’s not straightforward, as TScore have to open every database in the list and check it. This could take quite some time and slow down the database listing significantly. I will see if there is another way to address this – maybe by adding an ‘Index’ database or something. Long term road-map item I think, unless enough people have a big problem with this.
ChrisKeymasterFixed in v10.0.7
ChrisKeymasterIf you could share those images please Neil, I can try to see why they weren’t displaying.
On a related note, if you have ‘Show Newest Score’ on, it covers the images in some circumstances. This will be fixed in VScore 10.0.10ChrisKeymasterFound the problem – Penalty scores were not being accounted for when assessing qualification. This will be fixed in version 10.0.25, due out within the next few days.
Note that this affected printed results and the ‘qualified’ text in certificates too.ChrisKeymasterThat seems like a good idea!
ChrisKeymasterThat could get very complicated, as many events have multiple bonus options. The class definition screen is already very busy. I’m a bit reluctant to make it harder to see what’s going on in the Editor.
ChrisKeymasterI’d have to think about whether that behaviour would conflict with other types of competition – non-UK, different disciplines.
March 19, 2017 at 2:11 pm in reply to: DONE: Retain competition status sort order after printing #246ChrisKeymasterTScore doesn’t save previous sorts performed via column headers – they are regarded as temporary. I could look into having sort preferences stored elsewhere though. Let me reflect on the implications…
ChrisKeymasterJUst tried that here with your database Neil and it correctly just says A in the Export qualification column (BM) and the muted green. Also when printing it shows ‘Q’ as expected (rather than Q+). Can you double check please and send the comp database so I can check it with the actual scores?
I notice that you’ve left ‘tariff’ on for those classes – that can be disabled for NDP DMT. -
