TScore is great value for money, but isn’t free! It uses a licence string mechanism to let you run TScore and Vscore for a period of time depending on what licenses you have purchased.
Occasionally we may issue ‘any computer’ licences, but these will generally be short-term.
If you have specific needs, let us know!

When you run TScore, it will check for a licence. Some versions will have a built-in short licence, in which case it will just run normally. You can see the licence you have by looking at the bottom bar on the main screen, or by looking in the Settings screen.

When you request a licence, TScore generates a request string, based in part on the computer hardware. Importantly, it uses information from the network adaptor, so it is important that this is turned on and preferably in use when you request the licence. A licence request string looks something like this: 46F3F9-EF3F63

You then email that request to support@tscore.co.uk and we will respond with a licence string, which looks a bit like this:
    F87A-B9DE-9D83-12-Feb-2018-Freddy

Useful things about the string is that it includes the expiry date and your customer name, so you can tell what each licence is for. Note that is you change or omit any part of the string, it will not work! In particular, if the customer name we assign is less than 6 characters, there will be trailing “*” characters, which must be included.

Each licence string activates the copy of TScore on the local computer. You will normally have multiple computers networked together, each with their own licence; these do not have to match up in any way.

Inevitably things will go wrong occasionally – you may lose a computer due to hardware failures etc. We realise this and will be flexible. One useful feature in this respect is the ‘Emergency Licence’ option. When you purchase a TScore licence, we will also send you an emergency password and instructions for how to get a short (10-day) license automatically, 24/7 for any computer.

One other thing to note: When you click on the Install License button in Settings, the request string is automatically copied into your paste buffer so you can easily add it into an email. Conversely, if you copy the returned license string into your paste buffer which TScore has the ‘Install Licence’ dialog open, it will automatically copy it into the box, provided it is the correct format.
