Would be good to have email addresses for competitors (or parents) in the entry form and then have additional email options to be able to send out emails to competitors as well as / or instead of clubs.
Not all clubs are great at getting info / changes out to parents so this would facilitate that.
Good idea in theory – we could append the individuals to the club email address.
However, once you start emailing 350 individuals, you do risk getting blacklisted as a spammer!
It also raises some challenges for the ‘Edit Clubs’ option, where you can globally set the emails for a club. This would be very hard to manage.
Overall, I’ve preferred to leave that fine-grained email distribution to the clubs themselves.Anyone else got any views on this suggestion?
