How do I add extra classes to my competition?

There are two ways you can do this. One is to use the Class Editor – just click on a class that is similar to the one you want to add, change the values (As a minimum, Name, Full Name, Export Name and at least one of Age, Gender and Grade. The n click Save. Once you have defined all the extra ones you need, it is best to also ‘Save to File’ so you can easily generate an identical competition later.
The second way is to directly edit the Class Definition file for your event (take a copy first!). These files are in the ClassDefns folder of the configuration folder (take a look in Preferences to see where this is).
Just copy and paste a row. Text column alignment is strict! Make sure you put a UNIQUE class code in columns 6-12. Then safe this file and create a new competition, picking this file from the drop-down list. You can also ceate a partial file and use the ‘Merge File’ option in the class editor.
