After creating new merged classes and then processing changes, it’s not always obvious what the “new” groups are vs original and now empty groups. In the drop down list it would be great to have an option to ONLY show groups that have entries in them to save putting folks into the wrong groups.
I’d have to think about some of the special cases here.
For example, if you are running a comp where you have combined some classes, but still want to be able to generate results for the original classes, then you need to be able to add people to the originals and re-merge.
Not sure how to do this without adding more confusion!The ideal would be to be able to add to the original class (correct on age group) but be merged in as well. But agreed that it gets tricky to process changes after the merge is done.
One of the flaws of NDP as it lets coaches enter where they like speculatively and then ask for a change at the last minute.
I think that if we try to be too clever here, we will end up making it too confusing and too inflexible.
I’d prefer to ‘back burner’ this suggestion tbh!
