You may sometimes need to force the compete order to work round a timetabling conflict for a particular gymnast. You can do this by manually altering their ‘start’ number.
First, be sure you have set the start numbers for all the entrants. (For most events this is a randomly assigned number, but they may also be set to a simple ascending count – e.g. for artistic gymnastics).
Now you can see the start numbers in the table below the ‘Edit Competitors’ form. Click ‘Sort by Start Order’ to show them in order.
Select the gymnast to move, and set their start value to be between the start values either side of where you want them. Then just save.
Note that if you have simple start numbers, you will need to swap gymnasts around. The number does not have to be an integer.
One other point to note is that if the person is in a class that has been split into flights, moving one competitor will usually push others into different flights. You can either move other people around to compensate, or edit the affected class in the Class Editor and move the flight boundaries.
