TScore requires a licence for each laptop that it runs on. Licences are bound to a specific laptop (though we are pretty flexible about swap-outs).
So, when request a new or renewing license, you need to send the ‘licence request key’ to support@tscore.co.uk.
If your licence is about to expire, or you haven’t got one at all for the computer you are on, TScore will pop up a licence request window for you:
This shows you the ‘Request Key’, and also conveniently copies the key into your paste buffer, so you can easily paste it into an email (ctrl-v or right mouse-paste).
If you want to install a license before these warning start appearing, you can just run up TScore and go to the Edit Competition screen:
From here, click on Preferences and select the ‘Licence’ tab:
This shows you the current status of your license. If you click on ‘Install Licence’ it will take you to the same screen shown at the top of this page, and the Request Key will be put into your paste buffer.
License request keys are a pair of 6 character strings separated by a hyphen. Only numbers 0-9 and letters a-f are used.
(Note that the ‘use old computer id’ check box is rarely needed – only if directed by Support)
When you get a reply back from TScore support, it will include the licence string associated with each request key.
For example:
a82314-832fdc | 54B4-7EE2-7AB6-31-Mar-2023-MYCLUB |
ff311d-caac5c | 21B4-53D2-7996-31-Mar-2023-MYCLUB |
dd12fd-c3285c | 1234-766A-CC21-31-Mar-2023-MYCLUB |
To enter these, the easiest way is to navigate back to the ‘Enter new licence’ screen above, then copy the corresponding licence string (ctrl-C or right mouse-copy)
As soon as TScore detects a licence string it will automatically paste it into the box:
If the key and string match, the licence will be applied.
